The ethnobotanical studies is the first step for a multidisciplinary approach involving various professionals to establish what the promising species for botanical studies, pharmacological and agronomic. In this context, the aim of this study was to identify the species used for medicinal purposes by the population of the Central West region of Brazil and organize them according to their relative importance (RI). The listing of the species used by the population for medicinal purposes was obtained through a literature review of published works, as well as theses and dissertations, ethnobotany approach in the region Midwest (except DF), from 1990 to 2008...
