Chronic renal failure greatly affects central (CNS) and peripheral (PNS) nervous system function. This study evaluates effects of renal transplantation (TX) on CNS and PNS anomalies after TX. Sensory and motor nerves conduction velocity (SCV and MCV) measurement, somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs), transcranial magnetic stimulation with the evaluation of central motor conduction time (CMCT), central silent period (cSP) and central motor threshold (cMT) were performed in ten transplanted patients (7 M and 3 F), within 2 months since TX (T0) and 1 year later (T1).
