Purpose: Technically, obesity weakens the pelvic base muscles by causing an increase in the intraabdominal pressure and intravesical pressure due to increasing fat and it triggers the occurrence of lower urinary tract symptoms. However it is believed that weight loss will cause recovery of these symptoms.
