Madrid Kilometer 0. The Franco’s dictatorship intervention in the construction of some symbolic landscapes of the capital

In Madrid, during the 1950s, some of the most significant projects of the Franco’s dictatorial regime intended to create a new image of the capital finish. His execution was carried out in a period of transition, when representative figures of real estate and speculative capital, that will succeed in the further years of desarrollismo, after Spanish Stabilisation Plan, burst into the city beside ideologues and professional falangists. In this context, the research focuses on the intervention made during these years in particularly emblematic public spaces. The goal ibs display the symbolic load, still present in them, and contribute to the coherent reading of its landscape. After an initial approach, the theoretical framework used is presented in the first part. The second segment is intended to review the contribution of the Francoism to the construction of six emblematic landscapes of the capital. At last, we highlight some final evaluations
