<p>This study (see the map attached) shows areas of distribution of the verbal suffixes *nǫ/*ny and their phonetic reflexes in Croatia. Based on earlier studies of the subject, the authors put forth the assumption that these reflexes originate back to the Proto-Slavic period, therefore their present co-existence can be viewed as a late Slavic dialectal phenomenon. There are adduced new more detailed data concerning distribution of these suffixes in Croatia.</p
