O panorama lingüístico brasileiro: a coexistência de línguas minoritárias com o português

This paper constitutes a summarized presentation of an overview of the linguistic panorama in Brazil, based on a discussion of the situation of minority languages, special attention being dedicated to its development in the course of time. We also explain the present state of indigenous languages and of the language of immigrants in Brazil. Finally, we discuss linguistic diversity in present-day Brazil
