NATURAL REGENERATION IN A FRAGMENT OF SEMIDECIDUOUS FOREST IN SINOP, MT

This study aimed to evaluate the physiognomy structure, composition and diversity of tree species in a semideciduous forest fragment on the site Clotilde located in the municipality of Sinop, Mato Grosso. For floristic and phytosociological analysis were installed 7 plots of 100m2 systematically distant 25 meters of each other, sampled all the arboreal component with height greater than 5 cm. For the diametric analysis they were measured the circumferences of the individuals who had diameter less than 30 cm from the ground. Subjects were classified into four classes of natural regeneration size. They identified 18 species belonging to 18 genera and 15 families with a total of 250 individuals in an area of 0.07 hectares. The trees presented Shannon Diversity Index estimated 2.13 for the height class I, 1.98 for class II, 0.99 for class III and 0.89 for class IV, and the species the highest values of importance measured by the IVI, were Vismia guianensis and Trattinickia rhoifolia excelling in all studied phytosociology.
