An Important Principle to Encourage Self-Reliance to Child: Playground Safety

In this study, the importance of play and playgrounds for the healthy physical, psychological and social development of child was given. In the aim of the study for developing the self confidence of the children, the necessity of playing safely in healthy playgrounds without feeling anxiety from falling and injury was lying. In this context; firstly the faults origined from the planning, designing and managing of the playgrounds and the accident examples as a result of these were given. In the results; for safety in playgrounds, it was emphasized that the studies had to be done systematically and planning, design and management flow had to work regularly
