LA UTILIDAD DE LOS SISTEMAS DE INFORMACIÓN GEOGRÁFICA PARA LA ENSEÑANZA DE LA GEOGRAFÍA

The generalization of ICT and the Internet involve nowadays the daily life in our training centers (Universities, schools ...), and then, the Geography classroom. Teachers are worried about how to introduce technologies and the usefulness of it. GIS is one of them. Some geographical skills can be improved with GIS. Some Geographical examples can be shown easily with these tools. We will try to explain the advantages and disadvantages of teaching Geography with GIS nowadays and how GIS is incorporating information in Internet. We are beginning a different way of working Geography skills in the classroom. But we have some problems to solve: How can we begin? With which programme? The computer in the classroom or the class in the computers room? Internet can help us giving GIS information from the Web
