We analysed in this paper the problem of MHD mixed convection flow from a vertical plate embedded in a saturated porous medium in the presence of melting, thermal dispersion, radiation and heat absorption or generation effects for aiding and opposing external flows. Similarity solution for the governing equations is obtained for the flow equations in steady state. The equations are numerically solved by Runge-Kutta fourth order method coupled with shooting technique. The effect of melting and heat absorption or generation under different parametric conditions on velocity, temperature and heat transfer was analyzed for both aiding and opposing flow
