Analysis of the dendroflora in the manor park in Sobianowice (Lublin voivodeship)

The manor park in Sobianowice was created at the beginning of 20th century. For over 200 years the estate with grange and the manor belonged to the Rojowski family, in 1944 it was taken by the Treasury. The change in owners and users of the historic manor and park led to its degradation – especially to irreversible changes in the spatial arrangement and vegetation. Currently the park near the manor in Sobianowice occupies 2.28 ha and is protected by the conservator. The dendroflora inventory carried out in 2013 revealed 520 arborescent plants represented by 23 taxa and 14 families growing in the park. There are mostly native species characteristic for hornbeam (Acer platanoides L., Acer pseudoplatanus L., Carpinus betulus L.). Three monuments of nature grow there, as well as 10 trees qualified for obtaining the status. A valuable plant form in the park is the hornbeam avenue situated in the northern part of the garden and another one an avenue of limes within the historic limits of the garden, presently utilized by the local school
