This paper describes rapid simulation model building using one of the classification approach called as Cladistics. There are many problems occurred in cellular manufacturing and cladistics technique is used to classify all problems identified in this research. Cladistics is a common technique used by biologist to determine species and specimen based on evolutionary analysis. In this research, cellular manufacturing problems are grouped based on their evolution. The purpose of the classification is to develop a rapid simulation prototype for model building.
