Retirement Preparation

Preparing employees for retirement is a new field in Slovenia (though not in other countries). Retirement is a synonym for loss of social contact and identity roles, for diminished income and much more free time. Individuals should be better prepared for this altered way of life. Retirees should learn to define new goals and expectations. Retirement preparation can moti vate retirees to set and reach such goals. Two studies involving human resources officers and retirees indicate that both groups believe retirement preparation is necessary.
