This work focuses on both high fidelity experimental and numerical thermal hydraulic studies and advanced frequency decomposition methods. The major contribution of this work is a proposed method for spatio-temporal decomposition of frequencies present in the flow. This method provides an instantaneous visualization of coherent frequency ?structures? in the flow. The significance of this technique from an engineering standpoint is the ease of implementation and the importance of such a tool for design engineers.
