Aim: In this study we aimed to evaluate whether laparoscopic hysterectomy is a safe and successful approach to patients with large sized uterus. Materyal and Method: Data of 12 patients with uterus sized 1000 gr and larger operated between 2005-2013 were analyzed retrospectively. Parameters of age, parity, BMI, history of previous abdominal surgery, operation time, uterus size, intraoperative blood loss, intraoperative-postoperative complications were assessed for each patient. Results: Mean uterus size, operation time and intraoperative blood loss were 1130 gr, 115 minutes and 125 ml, respectively. All of the patients were multiparous with mean BMI of 25 and none of them needed conversion to laparotomy. Discussion: Laparoscopic hysterectom...
