The tobacco budworm Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) is one of the major insect pests of \ud many economically important crops and vegetables. It attacks more than 112 cultivated plants \ud species including cotton, maize, tobacco, groundnut, summer legumes and many vegetables. It \ud has developed high resistance against all type of insecticides including conventional and new \ud chemistry insecticides.
