In this work, the effects of inorganic metal oxides nanoparticles in the active layer of normal and inverted architecture based hybrid organic solar cells with improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) were studied. The active layers primarily consist of poly (3hexylthiophene)(P3HT), [6,6]-phenyle-C60-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) mixed with ZnO, TiO2 nanoparticles individually and combined. A systematic replacement of PCBM was realized by introducing metal oxides nanoparticles ZnO and TiO2 individually and combined, while maintaining a fixed amount of P3HT.
