Studies on helminth parasites of rats are important from the view point that these are known to cause diseases of extreme importance to man, domestic and wild animals and livestock. The public and Zoonotic importance of parasitic infection specially by rats continues due to their prevalence, vitality, global distribution and their effects on both nutritional and immune status of populations particularly those living in the tropics and subtropics.
