THE ROLE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE IN POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION OF THE MUSLIM WORLD

The basis objective of this study is to examine the role of the organization of the Islamic conference (OIC) in the promotion of political and Economic co-operation among the countries of the Muslim world during 1974-1994. This period was selected because during the tow decades the OIC has made efforts to emerge as an effective organization of the Muslim Ummah in particular and the international community in general. Like all other organizations, the OIC has made efforts to improve the lost of the Muslim world( Which is its main concern) in various fields of life but the present study deals with only two specific fields, namely the political and economic cooperation which the OIC has been able to generate among the Muslim community
