A REVISION OF THE TRIBES CAYSTRINI STAL AND MYROCHEINI STAL (HETEROPTERA :PENTATOMIDAE: PENTATOMINAE) WITH A REVISION OF THEIR TYPE GENERA CAYSTRUS STAL AND MYRODCHEA STAL OF THE WORLD WITH SPECIAL REFERENCES TO THEIR CLADISTIC ANALYSIS

The tribes Caystrini Ahmad and Afzal and Myrocheini Stal of the sub-family Pentatominae Leach are clearly separated in contrast to the concept of Distant's (1902, 1910 and 1918) Dorpiaria (A division within Pentatominae) with Dorpius Distant as its type genus, which actually belongs to Myrocheini along with Aednus Dallas and Lapnus Stal included by Distant in his above division with Neodius Bergroth (presently known as Caystrus Stal), Hippota Bergroth (presently known as Hippoticus Bergroth), Praetextatus Distant and Valescus Distant. The later four genera of Distant's Dorpiaria actually belong to the present tribe Caystrini which in addition to above include Cephaloplatus White, Heissocons Ahmad and Afzal, Mcdonaldiana (new name for a preoccupied name Linea McDonald), Paramecocons Stal, Parodius Distant, Riazocons Ahmad and Afzal and three new genera presently described as Lyalocons (for L. indicus sp. n. from India) Neoparodius (for C. latus Stal from Philippines) and Neonazocons (for C. punjabensis Ahmad and Kamaluddin from Tounsa, Punjab, Pakistan). Within Caystrus a new species bergmani from New Guinea is described which is most closely related to C. deserticolis Linnavuori. Within Caystrini the above mentioned 13 genera are also keyed from different parts of the world and described with their type species and holotype or other reference materials given where available and key to all known throughout the world, 30 species of Caystrus with their complete description or redescription, distribution, material examined and comparative note. Within the tribe Myrocheini presently all the 23 genera from different parts of the world are keyed and described with their type species mentioned, zoogeographical distribution and comparative notes and material examined of all the known species from Indian subregion, mostly including holotypes of the type species where available. One new species under the genus Ennius Still in addition to E. monteironis Distant from different parts of Ethiopian region, (Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan and Tanzania), the only known species of the genus Amiscus Distant (A. humeralis Dallas), one species of Delegorguella Le., Cimex ventralis Germar and three species of the genus Aednus Le., A. obscurus Dallas, A. rugosus Haglund and A. ventralis Dallas from Japan, China (Hunan, Xizang) India, Indonesia (Java, Sumatra), Malaysia, Myanmar and Philippines are redescribed with special reference to their metathoracic scent auricle and male and female genitalia. In addition, all the known species of the genera Aednus and Ennius are keyed. Cladistic analysis of the world genera of the tribes Caystrini and Myrocheini are also being given. Similarly the cladistic analysis of the world species of the genus Caystrus is also given
