Historically, much collaborative ventures research has focused on the identification and description of factors that are thought to influence the success of these inter-organisational arrangements. However, identifying these factors does not seem to have reduced the incidence of collaborative venture failure. Based on an in-depth case analysis of one particular multi-party, multi-sector collaborative venture, insights into the establishment and ongoing management of such ventures are illustrated.
