The agro-forestry systems are an alternative in the management of dry tropical forest zones of intervened or degraded edges. Their benefits are based on the efficient use of resources, productivity and food security for the rural communities. To locate the most appropriate sites for these systems is a requirement in the process of agricultural extension. With this proposal, the utilization of probabilistic models integrated with geographic information systems (GIS) allows identifying those potential areas in need of new technologies, similar to the identification of niches of species in biodiversity studies.
