Aim: We aimed at analysing the patients, who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital after having abdominal wounding by firearm in the war at Syria, retrospectively. Material and Method: The files of Syrian patients, who applied to Emergency Service of Harran University Medical Faculty because of gunshot wounds and had operation after being hospitalized in General Surgery Clinic due to abdominal injuries between the years of 2011 and 2014, were analysed retrospectively. Results: 175 Syrian patients, who had abdominal injuries by firearms, underwent operation in our general surgery clinic. 99.4% (n=174) of the patients were male, and 0.6% (n=1) were female.
