Aim: Determination of risk factors in coronary heart disease has a very important place in the prevention of acute coronary syndromes besides in predicting the prognosis. Activated platelets and increased mean platelet volume play an important role in the pathogenesis of acute coronary syndromes. In our study, we investigated the relationship between MPV and chest pain, acute coronary syndromes. Material and Method: 330 patients with chest pain were included to the study. Control group consisted of 112 healthy individuals. Coronary anjiography was performed to 247 patients in in acute coronary syndrome group.
