This paper investigates the debates regarding the LGBT Pride Parade,that took place in 2011 in São Paulo, Brazil. Discursive reaction to theevent on the Internet was analyzed, from news and digital conversation. Throughthese discourses, three main arguments were identified: the relevance of the event;civil rights for sexual minorities; moral judgements – biological and religious –regarding sexual diversity
