Infância e relações étnico-raciais. Percursos pelos trabalhos da ANPEd – GT 21 e 07

The paper reflects on studies and research on Childhood and Ethnic-Racial Relations presented at the Annual Meetings of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education – ANPEd, specifically by the Working Groups 21 (Education and Ethnic-Racial Relations) and 07 (Education of Children 0-6 years old). The timeframe was the promulgation and implementation of law no. 10,639/03. The papers were accessed virtually. The new legislation amended Articles 26-A and 79-B of the National Education Bases and Guidelines Law (9394/96), by making the Teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture compulsory in Basic Education and by establishing November 20th as the National Day of Black Consciousness. The research found that, despite a significant increase of studies both in the field of childhood as in the field of ethnic-racial relations in recent years, they are still rare. After the analysis, the texts found were grouped together into three classes, namely: papers relating the ethnic-racial issue to children's and young people’s literature, the ones that study the ethnic-racial relations in early childhood education, and the ones that address early childhood education in traditional communities, such as quilombolas. Este trabalho procura refletir sobre os estudos e pesquisas que aproximam infância e relações étnico-raciais apresentados nas reuniões anuais da Associação Nacional de Pós-graduação e Pesquisa em Educação - ANPEd, especificamente nos Grupo de Trabalho 21 (Educação e Relações Étnico-Raciais) e 07 (Educação de Crianças de 0 a 6 anos). O recorte temporal que orientou a busca nesses espaços, acessados de forma virtual, foi a promulgação e implementação da Lei nº 10.639/03. A nova legislação criada alterou os artigos 26-A e 79-B da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (9.394/96), tornando obrigatório o ensino de História e Cultura Africana e Afro-brasileira na educação básica e introduzindo o dia 20 de novembro como Dia Nacional da Consciência Negra. A pesquisa apontou que, apesar de um aumento significativo nos últimos anos de estudos tanto no campo da infância quanto no campo das relações étnico-raciais, ainda são escassos os números de trabalhos que se encontram nos liames desses temas. Após análise, foi possível, ainda, agrupar em três categorias os textos encontrados, a saber: trabalhos que relacionam a questão étnico-racial com a literatura infantil e infanto-juvenil, os que estudam as relações étnico-raciais na educação infantil, e os que abordam a educação infantil em comunidades tradicionais, como as quilombolas
