Funções da gestão educacional: Planejamento, organização, direção e controle nas escolas municipais de Aquiraz-CE, Brasil. Educational management roles: Planning, organization, direction and control in public schools of Aquiraz city, Ceará, Brazil

This article aims to analyze school principals’ perceptions on the roles of the Administration in the practice of educational administration in public schools from Aquiraz, Ceará, Brazil. The research is presented within the methodological strategy of the four poles supported by De Bruyne, Herman and Schoutheete (1977), as well as it is an exploratory and quantitative study. For this, a questionnaire was used as data collection tool. Thus, for data analysis, we used descriptive statistics techniques, t-test, Cronbach's Alpha and Pearson Correlation through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0. It can be observed that the averages of the overall results of this study were: Control with 88.48, Organization with 85.71, Planning with 84.71, and Management with 78.33. It can also be observed that the items’ internal consistency was sufficient in all four studied roles, as well as were the results of Hotelling's T tests and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Regarding Pearson’s correlation coefficient, we’ve noticed strong correlation between Control–Planning roles (0.814) and Control–Organization roles (0.765). The study’s results seek to contribute to the educational management actions improvement regarding the roles of school management and planning in the schools that participated on this research. O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar as percepções dos diretores sobre as funções da Administração na prática da gestão educacional nas escolas públicas do município de Aquiraz no Ceará, Brasil. A pesquisa está apresentada dentro da estratégia metodológica dos quatro polos com apoio em De Bruyne, Herman e Schoutheete (1977), bem como, trata-se de um estudo exploratório e quantitativo. Para tanto, utilizou-se de um questionário como instrumento para coleta de dados. Desta forma, para a análise dos dados, foram utilizadas técnicas de estatística descritiva, teste T, Alfa de Cronbach e Correlação de Pearson com a utilização do programa Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0. Pode-se constatar que as médias dos resultados gerais deste estudo foram: o Controle com 88,48, a Organização com 85,71, o Planejamento com 84,71 e a Direção com 78,33. Observou-se que a consistência interna dos itens foi suficiente nas quatro funções estudadas, bem como também foram significativos os resultados dos testes T de Hotelling, além do coeficiente de correlação de Pearson. Nesse último, observou-se a estreita ligação entre as funções Controle - Planejamento (0,814) e Controle – Organização (0,765). Os resultados do estudo propõem-se a contribuir com o aprimoramento das ações de gestão educacional no que se refere às funções de direção e de planejamento nas escolas pesquisadas
