Půdy a říční sediment s vysokými obsahy rtuti byly vyluhovány simultánní extrakcí řadou extrakčních činidel (dusičnanem draselným, hydrogenfluoridem draselným, difosforečnanem sodným, chelatonem a kyselinou dusičnou). Obsahy jednotlivých forem rtuti, vyměnitelné, adsorbované, organické, karbonátové a sulfidické byly menší než 0,05 mg/g. Obsahy zbytkové rtuti byly u půd 84,40 % a 98,00 % u říčního sedimentu 99,70 %. Simultánní extrakční metoda byla dále použita u vzorků půd a sedimentu obohacených přídavkem dusičnanu rtuťnatého (80 mg/g).
