It is a great pleasure to make a submission to your inquiry on modern slavery act in Australia. I welcome the Joint Standing Committee’s inquiry and efforts to identify international best practice for the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking. For the purposes of this submission, I have limited my comment to areas where I believe my knowledge and experience may assist the committee. I refer to your term of reference regarding the identification of international best practice in domestic and global supply chains. My submission addresses the importance of effective supply chain auditing in the establishment of best practice
