La Peinture est Presque Abstrait is a multi-venue project, based around two exhibitions in France, and a subsequent exhibition in London. The project was accompanied by a catalogue/publication. A public symposium was held to discuss issues arising from the project at the Institut Francais, South Kensington, London. The project was initiated by Olivier Gourvil, and was first shown at Transpalette Emmetrop, Bourges, France in 2009. A subsequent exhibition was shown at Camberwell SPACE, University of the Arts, London in 2010
