Orbetello Hangars: Instructive 3D short-movie about P.L. Nervi's structural principles and building process for Orbetello planes hangars

This 3D short-movie has been created in 2010 for the CIVA (Centre International pour la Ville, l'Architecture et le Paysage) and for the « Pier Luigi Nervi Project », in collaboration with the Department of Engineering of Sapienza University in Roma, under the direction of Carlo Olmo. This computer generated image instructive movie aims to explain the structural principles and the building process used in 1942 by the Italian engineer Pier Luigi Nervi for the building of two water landing plane hangars in Orbetello. These military constructions have been destroyed during the World War 2. The film is a part of the international travelling exhibition « Pier Luigi Nervi – architecture as Challenge ».
