We present the generator-coordinate method with particle number projection for a collective basis of quadrupole triaxial HFBCS states. As an application, using a two-body Skyrme interaction, we determine the energies and charge radii of the lowest collective quadrupole states of the neutron-deficient strontium isotopes 78-88Sr. We also discuss the evolution of the collective wave functions through the spherical-to-deformed shape transition as the neutron number decreases from N = 50 to 38. © 1993.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
