International audienceThis paper presents a probabilistic study of the mechanical contact problem. The main reliability concept and functions will be described. This study mainly exploits the advantages offered by the Monte Carlo method. This simulation technique remains one of the most used and reliable methods. It is characterized by its easy programming approach in spite of the computing time which it requires.
