International audienceThe human skin is an exceedingly complex and multi-layered material. An indentation test combined with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques have been performed on the left dorsal forearm of a young man. Using MRI images processing and a pre and post processor allows to make numerically 5 models in 2D each of which consists of three skin layers and the muscles. FEA has been applied to simulate indentation tests. Neo-Hookean slightly incompressible material model of two material constants (C10, K) has been used to model the mechanical behavior of three skin layers and the muscles.
