National audienceThis article proposes a study of a mutualist initiative called ‘Caring for the Caregivers’ in an area in which market appetites are particularly sharp, that of dependency. What does this composite program propose ‘to give to those who give’ ? On a more general level, the question is what value(s) is (are) produced by this form of hybrid initiative in which the commercial dimensions (economic value) of the competitive world of insurance are mixed with the civic dimensions (social value) of mutualist associations.
