International audienceMagnetic nanowires are good candidates for microwave filters, sensors and data storage applications. An investigation of magnetic properties of single-component nanowires as a function of diameter and aspect ratio is performed in this work. Nickel nanowire (with 15 and 100 nm diameter and 6000 nm length) are grown with electrodeposition in polycarbonates templates. Two reversal modes (coherent and curling) are studied versus nanowire diameter. Magnetostatic interaction among wires and its effect on nanowire magnetic properties is also studied.
