National audienceStarting from a particle size distribution of 0/25 MSWI bottom ashes that was the subject of an experimental study in the thesis of Frédéric Becquart [BEC 07], a 3D numerical model developed in representative elementary volumes (REV). This model is based on a multi-scale hierarchical modelling strategy. The aggregates treated with cement have been decomposed into two REV at the sub-mesoscopic and mesoscopic scales. We made the assumption that MSWI bottom ashes have mechanical properties similar to those of conventional road aggregates.
