We are entering a new era which requires the development of new technologies based on photo-active molecules. New photo-active materials such as metal complexes, nanoparticles and supramolecular systems have attracted increasing attention as new potential materials for optical and electronic devices, solar energy conversion, photo-drug delivery and high resolution optical imaging.
