International audienceIn this paper we introduce a new dynamic document adaptation technique for mobile devices. Handheld interfaces most likely invite a goal-directed kind of use – not only because of the limited interaction mechanisms of such devices, but also because of the situations in which they are used. We will explain how the context profile and the user profile can be used, in the first step, to automatically create the adapted document. In the second step if the user is not satisfied by the proposed adaptation, he can semi-automatically navigate through the adapted document in order to efficiently read the document or quickly find the relevant information
