International audienceThis study aims to evaluate the social capital of the inhabitants of Ouagadougou in 2009. It describes how it is mobilized to support their economic actions: access to education, housing, employment and other social contributions to development. The emphasis is on two groups: siblings and migrants known by Ego, estimating the true scale of their contribution. By studying the characteristics of donors and beneficiaries, analysis follows the construction of social capital, partly inherited from kinship, but also acquired through professional life course, urban environment and migration.
