The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) has produced a number of model form contracts for use in the international construction industry, included in the FIFIC Form of Contract. This article examines the approach taken by FIDIC on certain key contractual issues and contrasts it with that taken by the UK under the Private Finance Initiative.
