Inter-user interference constitutes a limiting factor to network performance, especially when dense wireless systems sustaining high traffic loads are deployed. Interference cancellation (IC) policies have proved an invaluable tool in order to counteract this problem. Nonetheless, the success of such IC schemes depends heavily on the received power distribution.
