Soewondo Kendal xvi + 72 page + 2 images + 13 tabel + 11 attachments Nurses work in services that are vulnerable to fatigue, often called burnout.The burden as well as the demands of the many jobs will have an impact on the performance of the nurse. The impact of burnout is loss of energy, loss of enthusiasm work and loss of confidence.Confidence in the job is very important for the nurse, because with high confidence the nurse will feel confident in his ability to care for patients.This study aims to determine the relationship between burnout with confidence in nurse inpatient in dr. H. Soewondo Kendal with quantitative descriptive type. Population in this research is nurse at installation of inpatient with amount of 120 samples nurse. The sampling of this study using proposionate random sampling. Methods of data collection using two questionnaires namely burnout questionnaire and self-confidence. Data analysis method used is Spearman Rank test. The result of data analysis shows the correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.139 with the correlation significance level p = 0.131 (p> 0.05) which means there is no correlation between burnout with confidence in the inpatient nurses in RSUD dr. H. Soewondo Kendal. Keywords: burnout, confidence, nurse
