Hubungan Perubahan Fungsi Seksual Terhadap Frekuensi Hubungan Seksual Pada Wanita Menopause

Menopause is a natural phase that will be experienced by every women. Once a woman had fully 12 months without a menstruation, she can be fairly sure that she has been through a menopause. A menopause leads to a low of estrogen level that can cause changes in sexual function such as decreasing sexual desire, orgasm, vaginal lubrication, pain during intercourse and dissatisfaction. This study aimed to know the relationship between changes in sexual function and the frequency of sexual intercourse on menopausal women. This study was non experimental quantitative research using cross sectional method. The sampling method in this study used total sampling. The number of samples in this research was 85 respondents. The research instruments were used FSFI questionnaire to measure the changes in sexual function on menopausal women and SAAQ questionnaire to measure the liveliness of menopausal women in sexual intercourse. The data show that menopausal women who experienced sexual dysfunction were 67 respondents (78. 8%). The data analyzed by Kolmogorov Smirnov statistical test shows that 41 respondents (48. 2%) experienced sexual dysfunction and not having sexual intercourse, whereas the respondents who had normal sexual function were 9 respondents (10. 6%) and they often had sexual intercourse. The results of the study shows that there was a relationship between changes in sexual function and sexual frequency on menopausal women (p value = 0.000). The health service institutions can improve information about changes in sexual function on menopause period by providing health education periodically to improve knowledge and sexual health on menopausal women
