Synthesis of near field focused arrays including far field constrains

A scheme for the synthesis of antenna arrays accounting simultaneously for Near Field Focusing and Far Field specifications is proposed. The technique is based on the minimization of a proper cost function and the definition of a target Near Field distribution.
