The purpose of this study is to investigate how some Swedish secondary school students, with a mother tongue other than Swedish, perceive different language learning environments such as the teaching environment, the classroom environment and the environment outside the classroom. This study was conducted using the Diamond Ranking method, in this study called Diamant, which is a method based on a socio-cultural perspective. The result shows several good language learning environments from a student perspective. Students value a good teacher and visual aids in teaching situations. Furthermore, the result shows that they want clear rules in the classroom and that the way furnitures in the classroom are set is important for promoting language ...
