textabstractMarshall McLuhan (1964), widely quoted for his observation that “the medium is the message,” emphasized studies of the media themselves rather than the content the media carry. The characteristics of the media play an important role in connecting people in the globalized world. Through an online survey of 154 Chinese employees of multinational companies in China, this study examines how different technologies are used for organizational communication among Chinese employees in China branches of multinational companies.
