textabstractIn the past decades, there has been a rapid increase of interdisciplinary research with regard to law, exemplified in socio-legal research and law and economics. More recently, there has also been – albeit in some countries more than in others – a growing interest in the methodology of legal research. This special issue combines those two trends. It focuses on a crucial obstacle in integrating interdisciplinary research and traditional legal research. It is the question how we can incorporate other disciplines and their findings into legal doctrinal research
