While it might seem that long-term personnel planning is a rather trivial task, in practice it has proven to be a dynamically complex problem, which can hardly be controlled based on intuition only. In particular, using simulation-based analyses are supportive in this respect. They allow visualising relationships, quantifying effects, and investigating systems behaviour. Thus, they provide the possibility for quantified scenario analyses that support and improve the intuition and competence of personnel managers
