Examined the usefulness of the concept of anger proneness to the study of aggression in women in 2 studies. One study concerns anger induction in 40 aggressive and non-aggressive sportswomen. Sports choice in itself does not predict anger arousal and aggressive behavior in the lab. At an individual level the anger proneness of the S was related to the intensity of aggressive behavior and subjectively reported anger. Study 2 concerns the activating effects of androgens on aggression and anger proneness.
